Blenheim Palace
Roof restoration project
Working in close partnership with the Blenheim Palace Built Heritage team, we were commissioned to produce a film documenting and showcasing the 18-month roof restoration project. The production was granted exceptional access, enabling us to capture rarely seen areas of the Palace that are not ordinarily accessible to the public.
The project’s objectives are comprehensive and vital to safeguarding the long-term integrity of Blenheim Palace. These include:
-
Enhancing the environmental stability of two internationally significant ceiling paintings
-
Reducing health and safety risks associated with falling stone
-
Extending the lifespan of the stonework by slowing the rate of deterioration
-
Completing outstanding fire compartmentation works within the roof voids
-
Increasing roof gutter capacity to mitigate the risk of water ingress
-
Improving energy efficiency where feasible and practical
Collectively, these measures ensure the continued preservation, safety, and sustainability of this historic landmark.
